Varience of Housing

Colleges and University's demand freshmen to be housed in Residence Halls commonly refered to as dorms. Depending on the School further years may be necessary. Where technical colleges and other forms of higher education do not. Possibly because lack size or even dorms itself. Attending a Technical College broadens the housing market. Apartments, duplex's, houses, parents house (not advised) ect.. bring mass freedom as opposed to dorms but also a horde of responsibility.

Even dorms present varying living conditions. There are all male dormitory's, all female, and also co-ed. Some have curfews others don't. Obviously the most negative aspect of dorms is size. Less size means less privacy, which in college we all want our own. By small I mean Lilliputian! Room for beds and a work area, any more consider yourself lucky. Shared bathrooms, and showering facilitates are another drawback. Not to mention you may have to live with a complete stranger, while you may room with a friend. Although some students view that as a good facet.

There are Pro's to living in Residence halls. The Social Life is out the roof. You meet many wonderful people, possible lifetime friends, maybe even your future spouse. There are also many activities to involve yourself to pass the time. Your usually only in your dorms to write papers, study for exams, and sleep. Most schools offer meal plans, eliminating the responsibility of cooking and doing dishes. Dorms also provides a relative short commute to classes. The worry of cable and Internet bills are also usually accounted in housing fees. Possibly the most rewording aspect of living in a dorm is less responsibility.
Finding an affordable abode is the hardest aspect of living off campus. Apartments, duplexes, or a house can come at a premium, while finding an a economical place to live is well worth the search. Having your own room has got to be one of the best perks. The ability to decorate and furbish your room how you want it, means there is no counterpart to please.

The most gratifying thing about living on your own is the freedom. No one telling you what to do, when to do it, or how to do it. This is when you acquire the traits that define you. Owning your own place now means your liable for getting to class on time, paying bills, and maintaing your living quarters. This evolves things such as your credit, self-responsibility, and traits that will most likely carry on throught your years to come.
