Blonde is Rocket Science

Going blonde is not always easy and can be as complicated as Rocket Science!! Like rockets which can easily blow up in your face, so is the same with "Blonde" hair color. So the term "Dumb Blonde" definately does not relate to the task of becoming blonde. Sometimes this seemingly simple task can be very complex. There are far more people out there taking on the task of going or being "Blonde" than there are people building rockets. All those "Blondes" who have had green-blonde hair, snow white-blonde or the horrific pumpkin orange-blonde hair when trying to achieve the "Blonde" color they intentionally set out to have can relate to this.

Wikipedia's definition of "Blonde" is: a hair color characterized by the low levels of dark pigment eumelanin. The resultant visible hue depends of various factors, but always has some sort of yellowish color. The color can be from very pale blonde, (caused by a patchy, scarce distribution of pigment) to a reddish, "strawberry" blonde colors or golden-brownish blonde colors (the latter with more eumelanin).

See how complex just the definition of "blonde" is. By the way, eumelanin is a class of compounds. Hence another reason for my comparison to rocket science.

Now that we are educated on the definition of blonde, I will venture out into the "Blonde World" to try to see how many "Blonde" colors exist. Blonde's are grouped together as just that "A blonde" however, us blondes know that there is NOT one color of blonde. I know I have been several shades of blonde. I've probably even created a few new ones although I would never say I am the only blonde who mistakenly discovered the colors that only appeared in my hair for brief moments (usually only until I was able to get to the store for another box to fix it).

So I'll let you know my findings. Feel free to let me know of any of your favorite "blonde" colors or even the ones you couldn't wait to fix.
